'Residents Barcelona’ on SMOU
With SMOU, you can pay your tickets for the AREA resident parking in the city of Barcelona whenever and wherever you want using the 'Residents Barcelona' service.
If you live in the city of Barcelona and are entitled to resident parking in any of the 35 regulated parking zones, SMOU is the app you need to pay for your parking tickets as a resident.
Activate 'Residents Barcelona'
To start using the service:
- Activate it from the main menu, in the ‘Services’ section.
- Verify your 'Residents Barcelona Vehicles’ and your 'Payment method'.
- Finally, accept the 'Terms of Use' and press the 'Activate' button.
Get a ticket
- In the bottom menu of the main screen, select 'Residents' and press 'Get resident ticket'.
- Choose the days on the calendar for which you want your permit and press 'Confirm dates'.
- Review the summary of the permit and click 'Pay ticket'.
With 'Residents Barcelona' you can also:
- Extend the period of existing tickets.
- Activate a parking expiration alert when your permit is about to expire. Find out how to do it here.
- Check the map of the AREA regulated parking zone currently assigned to your vehicle in the city of Barcelona.
- Save vehicle location button in the 'Residents Barcelona' service.
- Download the receipts for each time you have parked from the ‘Consumprion' section of the top left menu of the app.
