As of today, 10 February, if there is one or more electric bikes at the Bicing station, you will be able to reserve one for 5 minutes via smou to make sure that when you arrive at the station you will have one.
To enjoy this new feature, all you have to do is update the smou app to the latest version.
How does the bike reservation work?
- On the smou app map, select the station you are interested in and click on the 'Reserve' button.
- From the two options, mechanical and electric, choose the type of bike you want to book.
- Once you have done this, you have 5 minutes to pick up your bike!
If you reserve a bike through the app but do not pick up the bike within 5 minutes up to 3 times in a month, you will not be able to use the reservation service for 30 days.
